It’s been a while, but Three Women are back! The holiday rush caught all three of our hosts up in the chaos of activities, meals, celebrations, challenges, and all that comes with the holiday season. All three couldn’t wait to get back together to talk about “Spiritual exploration for the fun of it,” starting with this episode on fighting against the “New Year, New Me” mentality.
New Year’s comes with pressure to recreate ourselves by losing weight, getting in shape, setting “healthier” habits, resolving to be better people, better moms, better workers, better EVERYTHING. Which means, who we are must be lacking.
Our three hosts fight against this idea that we are inherently flawed and constantly need recreating because of our wretchedness. Instead, Meg, Elizabeth, and Mary discuss liking who we are as we are, taking on intentions rather than resolutions, the regular opportunities in the year to mark a “new year,” and, thus, set new goals or simply new hopes for ourselves. What does it mean to embrace the idea that we are beautifully and wonderfully made from the beginning and, instead of tearing ourselves down to be wholly rebuilt, embark on constant evolution rooted in self-love?
Please leave comments, questions, and ideas for future discussions. We want to hear from you!
